Much to the delight of fans, CM Punk returned to RAW in Chicago last night. Confirming he's still not medically cleared to compete at WrestleMania, the Second City Saint threw around a few different ideas and proceeded to take shots at Roman Reigns and The Rock.

Punk then called out Drew McIntyre (who injured him at the Royal Rumble) and the two exchanged some very pointed barbs...including a thinly veiled shot at Vince McMahon naming McIntyre "The Chosen One" once upon a time.

The Scottish Warrior invited Punk to serve as the guest commentator during his WrestleMania match with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, though fans in the building clearly wanted to see the Best in the World serve as special guest referee.

Rollins hit the ring and also went back and forth with Punk, with it ultimately decided that he will indeed call the match from ringside.

As a parting shot, he vowed to do something neither Rollins nor McIntyre can without him: make them interesting. We're sure he'll get involved somehow during the course of the match, and we wouldn't be surprised if that leads to an attempted cash-in by Señor Money in the Bank, Damian Priest.

With Punk leaving, McIntyre berated his foe, only to be blindsided by Rollins with a superkick and Curb Stomp.

Original plans called for Punk to challenge Rollins for the title at the Show of Shows but WWE has successfully managed to make this rivalry every bit as interesting, all while keeping the Chicago native relevant on the sidelines. When he's cleared, we'd bet on Punk squaring off with both Rollins and McIntyre.
