It Sounds Like WWE Has Big Plans For Samoa Joe Following Sunday's BACKLASH PPV

Samoa Joe never really managed to find his footing on RAW due to a series of injuries and despite being on the main roster for well over a year, he's missed out on two WrestleManias! However, during the Superstar Shakeup, the former NXT Champion was moved to SmackDown Live and it now appears as if Vince McMahon and company have some big ideas for Joe from this point on.

Apparently, while he'll almost certainly lose to Roman Reigns at Backlash this Sunday, the plan is for Joe to then feud with Styles for the WWE Championship. But wait, where does that leave Shinsuke Nakamura? After all, he's challenging for the title on Sunday and it would no doubt hurt his newfound heel momentum to once again come up short. There are some possible explanations, though.

The Styles/Joe feud doesn't necessarily have to revolve around the title, while he could also easily become involved in the storyline with Nakamura for a fun three-way programme. Time will tell!
