Nia Jax Vs. Dean Ambrose Inter-Gender Match Officially Announced For WWE Live Event

Yes, it's really happening. After the two squared-up a couple of weeks ago on Raw, Nia Jax will go one-on-one with Dean Ambrose in an inter-gender match at an upcoming WWE live event. More past the jump...

Though inter-gender matches happen all the time on the indies, we haven't seen one in WWE in a very long time. Well, that's about to change.

A commercial for an upcoming live event in Arkansas is advertising a "special attraction" bout between Nia Jax and Dean Ambrose. This follows a tense alternation between the two on Raw a couple of weeks ago which resulted in The Irresistible Force throwing a forearm at The Lunatic Fringe from behind.

Chances are this is simply WWE testing the water to find out how an inter-gender match will be received. There's a good reason it's happening at a live show and not on TV, after all. It'll also be interesting to see if Ambrose plays a babyface role again, as it's difficult to imagine Jax being cheered by the fans - even if she is technically the underdog here.
